4th of July Message from our ILA – South Atlantic and Gulf Coast President
Dear Friends:
Less than a month ago, June 19, we celebrated the epitome of liberty, the commemoration of the abolishment of slavery in the United States via the very tardy announcement in Texas. On July 4th, we celebrate the birth of our great Nation with our founder’s declaring freedom from the authoritarian King of England. Of course, in the years since 1776, especially, more recently it seems, the celebration is more about mattress sales than the reason for the holiday. During these trying and dangerous times, it is more important than ever that we value our liberty and understand our history, the good, the bad, and the ugly! Because if we don’t understand the history of our liberty, including all 249 years of wars, economic and political turmoil, along with prosperity and the “good times”, we are destined to have our liberty diminished.
So, we must celebrate our liberty to keep it. Have fun! Be safe!
Thank you for all you do. God bless the United States. We pray for our country, and those who serve it. God bless you and your families.
Sincerely,
Alan A. Robb
President
