Today, the ILA teamed up with Harris County Commissioner Adrian Garcia Precinct 2 and the Texas Gulf Coast Area Labor Federation AFL-CIO for food distribution in Pasadena, Texas. Officers from the South Atlantic and Gulf Coast District as well as officials and members of all Houston Locals (24, 28, 1351 and 1438) helped load cars with food for families in need.
The ILA is on the frontline unloading vessels, which import commodities vital to keeping the supply chain moving, and also stepping up to volunteer in the community. The ILA affords us the opportunity to help others and in turn give hope to those in need during these times of uncertainty.
