U.S. Senate Candidate Reverend Raphael Warnock Visits Historic ILA Local 1414 in Savannah, Georgia

On Saturday, December 12, 2020, U. S. Senate candidate Reverend Raphael Warnock made a stop along the campaign trail at the historic International Longshoremen’s Association Local 1414 in Savannah, Georgia to encourage everyone to go out and vote.  He was warmly welcomed by Jackie Robinson, Local 1414 President; Willie Seymour, South Atlantic Gulf Coast District Executive Vice-President; Savannah’s Mayor Van Johnson and other city officials, as well as members of the local.

Early voting has begun for key US Senate elections in Georgia.  The two runoff elections, scheduled for January 5, will determine whether Republicans maintain control of the Senate.  Democrats need to win both if they are to take control of the Senate by the narrowest of margins.

Victories for both Reverend Warnock and Jon Ossoff would leave the 100-seat Senate split, 50-50, with Kamala Harris, the incoming US vice-president, able to cast a tiebreaking vote.
